During her time at KU, Megan has been on the Engineering Expo and Freshman Development committees, and served as Treasurer for Engineering Student Council. She was also involved with the executive board of her scholarship hall, Margaret Amini, and held a position in Tau Beta Pi. She had an internship at Bayer in the summer of 2010. She worked for three semesters in Dr. Detamore’s Tissue Engineering Lab and participated in a summer research experience for undergraduates (REU) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2011.
During her free time, Megan enjoys running, reading science fiction and fantasy books, attempting to knit and bake things, and perfecting her version of the popular dance move ‘the Reject’.
She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, where her research interests include gene delivery and substrate topography-cell interactions.
